The Alternative Investments Conference will return to an in-person conference in 2022, and we are looking for bright, talented and motivated LSE Freshers to join our subcommittees. 


Our application form will be available from the 16th of September. We will accept applications from the 20th to 30th of September.

What is the AIC?


The AIC is the world’s largest student-run conference on Private Equity, Hedge Funds and Venture Capital. We see over 5,000 applications from students in top universities and programmes attend our event. Of this, c. 5% are selected to attend.

With attendees from 80+ countries, over 25 past and current sponsors and Founders, CEOs and Founders as our guests you will interact with a truly global network of young and experienced professionals. 


The planning of our conference takes commitment and drive. As an organising member, we expect you to take on real responsibility.

Subcommittees Available

Information Technology (IT)


Our IT Team manages the AIC website, produces video material and supports our teams with IT. This role requires an eagerness to learn digital tools and adaptability.

Our Logistics Team is responsible for the design and layout of the Alternative Investments Conference. This includes our much-cherished relationship with the Marriott Hotel, the set-up of the event, negotiation of our contracts, establishing audio-visual set up and the overall delegate experience.

Branding, Design and Social Media (BDS)


Our Branding, Design and Social Media Team creates flagship branded materials, including the conference delegate booklet, posters and informational flyers. In 2022, our BSD team aims to dramatically increase the social media presence of the AIC. This role requires an eye for design and ideally skills in marketing and design software.

Our Marketing team is responsible for reaching out to universities, career centres and societies all over the world to increase awareness of the Alternative Investments Conference. The role requires commitment, reliability and teamwork.

External Affairs


Our External Affairs Team is responsible for sourcing and managing important media, press and broadcasting relationships in order to expand the AIC worldwide. This role requires individuals who are unafraid to reach out to partners as well as able to manage new and existing relationships with large organisations.
