Tarun was born and raised in the UK but spent many of his formative years in India. The cumulative experience of seeing the world from many different vantage points instilled an appreciation of the contrasting circumstances of different nations, which subsequently inspired him to read Economics at the LSE. This, paired with his passion for investing led him to join the AIC. Having already been a delegate at the conference before joining the team, he was struck by its calibre - from the team to the speakers and is extremely keen to leave a mark in his capacity as Director of Research and build on the work of his predecessors.

In his free time, Tarun is an active member of the LSE Rowing Club. He also loves weightlifting and is currently training for his first marathon at the end of the year.
