Sophie Persey

Sophie Persey is an Impact Principal at Bregal Sphere. Prior to joining Bregal in 2024, Sophie spent eight years at Rainforest Alliance, where she led the development and launch of LandScale, a tool to assess, validate, and report landscape sustainability impact, and helped to grow the market for Rainforest Alliance Certified products in the UK. Prior to Rainforest Alliance, Sophie lived and worked in Indonesia for six years, initially managing a conservation project for the Zoological Society of London and later as the Group Sustainability Manager for a London-listed palm oil producer.
Sophie holds an MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation, and Management and a BA in Biological Sciences from Oxford University. Originally from the UK, she is fluent in English and speaks Bahasa Indonesia.
