Kurt Björklund

Kurt joined the Permira London office in 1996 and took over the leadership of the firm in 2008 as Co-Managing Partner. Since then, he serves on the Permira Holdings Limited Board, the Executive Committee and chairs the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Permira, Kurt was a consulstant for Boston Consulting Group in Stockholm.

With 14 offices spanning from Europe, North America to Asia, Permira is an international investment firm with 250 people. They back market leading businesses in growing segments of the global economy and focuse on four global sectors: Consumer, Healthcare, Services and Technology. Since 1985, the private equity firm has backed more than 250 businesses. Amongst the firm's most notable investment is Dr. Martens, footwear and clothing brand, and Genesys, a customer experience company.

Amongst the most notable trasactions Kurt Bjorklund has been involved in include AU-Systems, a Swedish mobile Internet consultancy, Inmarsat, a global mobile satellite communications services provider and TDC, a Danish telecommunications company. Mr Bjorklund is also on the board of Althea, a pan-European healthcare outsourcing company.

Mr Bjorklund has a degree in Economics from SSEBA, Finland, and an MBA from INSEAD, France. He has also completed graduate studies at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, USA.
