Vindi Banga

Mr. Banga joined CD&R's London office in 2010 after a 33-year career at Unilever, where he served as executive board member and president of Global Foods, Home & Personal Care businesses. Vindi sat on the Prime Minister of India’s Council of Trade & Industry from 2004 to 2014 and was on the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad. Vindi is also the recipient of the Padma Bhushan, one of India’s highest civilian honours. Vindi has been a Non-Executive Director of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and Thomson Reuters Corp, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Mauser Group, Chairman of Kalle GmbH and Senior Independent Director of Marks & Spencer Group plc.

He was also responsible for Unilever's sustainability agenda. Previously, Mr. Banga served as president, Home & Personal Care Asia and as chairman and managing director of Unilever's operating company in India, Hindustan Unilever Ltd.

Mr. Banga played the lead operating role on CD&R's investments in Diversey and Mauser Group and helped establish the Firm's joint venture in India. He served on the Prime Minister of India's Council of Trade & Industry from 2004 to 2014. Mr. Banga was appointed chairman of Marie Curie in 2018 and non-executive director of The Economist Group Board in 2020.

Mr. Banga has an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management and a B.Tech. in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
