Carlos Eduardo Espinal is a managing partner at Seedcamp, a firm that invests early in world-class founders attacking large, global markets and solving real problems using technology. The Seedcamp nation includes over 380 startups building breakout businesses that change the way people live, interact and buy. These include European unicorns Revolut, TransferWise, UiPath, which achieved a valuation of $10 billion in July 2020, and Hopin, the virtual events platform valued over $2 billion in November 2020.
Mr. Espinal worked as an Associate at Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures, as an Engineer for the Advanced Communications Technologies group of The New York Stock Exchange (SIAC), and as a consultant, at PKI Developer, Cybertrust/Baltimore Technologies before joining Seedcamp back in 2010.
Originally from Latin America, Espinal grew up and attended university in the United States before moving to London. Mr. Espinal holds a BS from Carnegie Mellon and an MBA from Babson College’s Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
