Edwin Conway is the Global Head of BlackRock Alternative Investors (BAI), the firm’s investments across Real Estate, Infrastructure, Hedge funds, Private Equity and Credit. Mr. Conway chairs the BAI Executive Committee and is responsible for determining the strategic direction of the platform, providing day-to-day oversight. The division currently manages over $239 billion and has client commitments of over 1100 professions. He also serves on the Global Operating Committee.

Prior to leading BAI, Mr. Conway was the Global Head of BlackRock’s Institutional Client Business (ICB), responsible for the firm’s institutional client strategy and investment delivery, the Global Institutional Product Group (IPG), responsible for the firm’s investment product strategy, as well as Global Consultant Relations (GCR), BlackRock Alternative Specialists (BAS) and BlackRock’s Global Financial Institutions Group (FIG).

Mr. Conway began his career at Credit Suisse Asset Management, before lateralling over to become Executive Director at Arden Asset Management, Inc. He then joined Blackstone Group as a Senior Managing Director, where he headed the Investor Relations & Business Development Group. Mr. Conway managed investor relations and business development for Blackstone’s investment products globally, before finally joining BlackRock in 2011.

Mr. Conway holds a BComm degree from the University College Dublin (UCD).
