Founder/Chair

Kerry Baldwin is the Founder and Managing Partner of IQ Capital and Chair of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA).

Ms. Baldwin founded IQ Capital in 2006 and has over 20 years of deep-tech venture capital experience. Previously, Ms. Baldwin invested in the first wave of UK deep tech companies with Venture Technologies in 1998.

IQ Capital is a deep-tech early stage venture capital focusing on disruptive algorithms in data science and analytics, fintech, IoT and embedded systems such as research machines and robotics.
IQ Capital’s five funds invest in seed to £30 million portfolio outperformers.

IQ Capital has made over 21 investments in the past two years, including exits in Oracle, Google, Apple, Facebook, Huawei and two IPOs. Ms. Baldwin specialises in go-to-market strategies, competitive intelligence and heads IQ’s cybersecurity, supervisory tech, big data and neuro-tech portfolio.

Ms. Baldwin sits on the board of FNA, CyberSmart, Divido, Neurovalens and Synthesized, among others.

Additionally, Ms. Baldwin is the Chair of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA) and a Fellow in Entrepreneurship at the University of Cambridge. At the BVCA, Ms. Baldwin works closely with government agencies to promote the VC and PE ecosystem in the United Kingdom.
