Sam Whittaker, a partner at Dechert’s London office, advises clients on a range of complex corporate matters, particularly private equity transactions. Mr. Whittaker’s practice includes mergers and acquisitions, divestments, co-investments, joint ventures, management equity arrangements and a variety of portfolio transactions. He regularly advises prominent global private equity firms, alternative asset managers and investment firms. Mr. Whittaker has experience working with Leif Höegh & Co. Ltd, funds managed by Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, L Catterton, Blackstone, GIC, BC Partners, Triton Partners, EQT, 3i Group, Sycamore Partners, and Oaktree Capital Management among many others.

Before joining Dechert, Mr. Whittaker worked as an associate at Slaughter and May and was a partner at Kirkland and Ellis.

Mr. Whittaker studied modern history at the University of Warwick and received a graduate diploma in Law as well as completing an Accelerated Legal Practice Course at BPP University.
