Zain Latif

TLG Capital

Zain is the Founding Partner and CEO of TLG Capital. He has been a Director since the inception of the TLG Africa Growth Impact Fund [AGIF], having founded the firm along with his partner, Isha Doshi, in 2009. 

He has structured more than $700 million of transactions in Africa, and prior to founding TLG, Zain was an Executive Director in the New Markets investment banking division of Goldman Sachs, where he focused on Sub-Saharan Africa across all products. 

Zain joined Goldman Sachs from Merrill Lynch, where he was involved in originating and executing several ground-breaking transactions in Africa. Zain began his career at HSBC in London, where he was a member of the team leading the bank’s special situations effort in Africa. Zain earned a Master’s degree in Finance at the age of 19 from Cass Business School, City University of London.
