Mr. Khatoun is a portfolio manager within Oaktree’s European Private Debt strategy and a managing director and investment committee member of the European Principal Group. Mr. Khatoun’s primary responsibilities include portfolio construction and oversight of the team’s investment professionals.

Mr. Khatoun joined Oaktree in 2005 as a member of the European Principal Group before becoming a founding member of the European Capital Solutions strategy in 2013. Prior thereto, Mr. Khatoun spent three years as a transaction executive at Terra Firma Capital Partners where he was responsible for deal origination, market analysis, structuring, due diligence and legal documentation.

Prior to joining Terra Firma Capital Partners, Mr. Khatoun spent three years in the Investment Banking division of Goldman Sachs International. Mr. Khatoun received a B.A. degree with honors in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Oxford. He is fluent in French and Arabic.
