Ramin Niroumand

Partner and Head

Motive Partners

Ramin Niroumand joined Motive Partners in 2023 as a Partner and Head of Motive Ventures. At Motive, Ramin leads the Motive Ventures team and is based out of the Berlin office. He is responsible for sourcing and executing investment opportunities with a focus on identifying trends and growth for Motive portfolio companies, through his extensive experience as a financial services and technology executive. 

Prior to joining Motive, Ramin founded embedded/capital, a Berlin based early-stage financial technology investment firm, which was acquired by Motive Partners in February 2023, to form the early stage arm of the Motive Partners platform. 

Ramin is also the founder and Executive Chairman of finleap, a leading FinTech ecosystem based in Europe. While at finleap, Ramin led the disruption of highly complex legacy sectors including banking, insurance and wealth management, at one time employing over 1,500 persons across 15 portfolio companies. The portfolio is collectively worth over €3bn today and includes 3 unicorns. Ramin is the founding investor and Chairman of Solaris.  

Ramin started his career as a consultant at Deloitte before building the innovation department at DKB, the largest internet bank in Germany. 

Ramin holds a BSc in Management Information Systems from HWR Berlin.
