Alex Howell is Head of Capital Markets and Opportunistic Credit for Blackstone Credit Europe and APAC. Prior to his current role, Mr. Howell led UK Origination for Blackstone Credit's private credit funds.
Prior to joining Blackstone Credit in 2012, Mr. Howell was an Executive Director in Leveraged and Distressed Credit at Nomura. Mr. Howell began his career in M&A at Lehman Brothers before moving to Lehman's Fixed Income division, where he analyzed and invested on the firm's Credit Trading desk.
Mr. Howell holds a BSc in Economics from University College London, and an MSc from the London School of Economics and is or has been on the boards, as a director or observer, of Soteria Finance Holdings (a PRA approved insurance run off), Axonix, Blackswan, MGage Holdings and Tanla Solutions.
