Christopher Field

Mr. Field, co-head of Dechert’s private equity practice as well as its corporate group in London, advises
clients on a broad range of private equity and corporate matters, including private and public M&A transactions, equity investments and initial public offerings (IPOs). He specialises in multi-jurisdictional corporate carve-outs and is ranked in The Legal 500 UK, 2022 for Private Equity Transactions, where he is described as “outstanding and technically capable”.

Mr. Field is a guest lecturer on private equity at the London Business School and has worked extensively on the training and mentoring of young lawyers. Moreover, he is involved with Impetus - a Private Equity Foundation - on various venture philanthropy matters and received their Transforming Lives pro bono award.

Mr. Field received a BA (Hons) in Philosophy and an LL.B. in Laws from the University of KwaZulu-Natal,
before earning a Master of Laws from the University of Nottingham.
