Background:

Bill Cornog joined KKR in 2002 and serves as the Global Head of KKR Capstone, the in-house operations arm of the $150 billion firm. As Global Head of KKR Capstone, Mr. Cornog oversees a team of more than 75 professionals increasing value in KKR investments by working with deal teams and portfolio companies.

The Capstone team identifies areas of improvement within portfolio companies, working with their management teams to increase top-line growth, organisational efficiency and capital productivity. Capstone also works across the entire KKR portfolio to create cross-portfolio programs and long-term strategies that support all investments. Mr. Cornog is also the chairman of KKR’s Americas, Infrastructure and TMT Growth Portfolio Management Committees. 

Mr. Cornog previously served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Williams Communication Group. Williams Communications Group was the telecommunications subsidiary of Williams Companies, an Oklahoma based energy-giant with over $7 billion of annual revenue. 

Prior to Williams, Mr. Cornog was a partner at Boston Consulting Group and worked in marketing and sales positions with SmithKline Beckman and Age Wave Communications. 

Mr. Cornog is also a director and Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee at Laureate International Universities. Laureate International Universities is a public benefit corporation founded in 1998 to provide business education. Since its founding, Laureate International has become a network of 25 higher-education institutions, with over 325,000 current students and is advised by a network of top business professionals. Mr. Cornog himself received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
